I was able to figure something out that I thought I'd share, since this forum has helped me so much since I've gotten my phone. If you already know this trick, please disregard
One of the frustrating things about this phone is that you cannot control the length of the vibration. If you have your phone set to vibration mode only, it will buzz for what feels like an eternity, which can be very annoying in meetings, etc.
However, I discovered that if you have the notification mode set to vibrate and ring, the vibration will last only as long as the .wav file you are using. So, what I did was create some silent .wav files in varying lengths, from a half second to 3 seconds. Then, I set my notifications to Play Sound and Vibrate, with the sound file pointing to the silent wav. Violla, now the vibrate only goes as long as I want it to.
This works for both the phone ringer, as well as the notifications. To make your silent wavs appear in the list of choices, copy the wav files into the Windows directory. I wish there was a way to store them on the memory card, but haven't figured that one out yet. Registry XXXX perhaps?
